Cuan Wildlife Rescue “Wildlife Artist of the Year”

The winner of the Cuan Wildlife Rescue Artist of the Year is Hannah Cumber with her stunning Fox picture, completed in 2019.

Hannah said:

“My inspiration comes from my love and respect for wildlife in all its forms. "Fox" was completed using coloured pencils. I wanted to capture his expression and the details in his eye. "Fox" was my first wildlife.”

Runners Up

Emma Tong who created in 2020, “ Nesting Raven”

Emma quoted:

“Having Nesting Ravens in the Garden and watching their habits and reactions is fascinating. I wanted to celebrate this in ceramics”

Lesley Palmer completed this very cute Baby Bunny in watercolours in 2020.

The long anticipated Cuan Wildlife Rescue, ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’ Exhibition is due to take place at The Hive, 5 Belmont, Shrewsbury , SY1 1TE from Wednesday 3rd – Tuesday 30th November 2021.

The winner of the ‘Wildlife Artist of the Year’ will be judged and announced during the Open Evening on Wednesday 3rd November 4:30-7:30 by local Wildlife Artist Terry Walsh.

Terry, originally from Shrewsbury, painted 'Life Under the Sky' using oil and was selected to feature in the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation's Wildlife Artist of the Year competition 2020.

The Gallery's opening hours are from Mon-Friday 10:30 - 4:00pm and well worth a visit to view these magnificent entries, some of them will also be available to purchase.
